and stay motivated with your Lower Ab Workout.
Whether it is a lower
ab workout, a diet or just to keep fit, many of us would start a program
and after a while just give up. This is just human nature and almost all
of us have been there one time or the other.
In order to stay fit
and in shape, you constantly need to motivate yourself, but this is
easier said than done!
The first thing that
you must do is to set a goal for yourself. If you want to have a good
set of six pack abs, then tell yourself: "I want a nice set of abs in
three months time".
Next you must decide
on a way how to obtain that abs. You choose a diet plan and decide which
type of workouts to do. You now plan your training routine, deciding on
which days you want to train and at what times. You are set to go!
The trick is to
persist with your good intentions, and it is not always that easy. You
have to stay motivated; otherwise it is easy to give up after a few days
or weeks of training and correct eating.
A good way to stay
motivated is to visualize yourself the way that you want to look. Every
night, before you go to sleep, you can lie in your bed and close your
eyes. While lying on your back, take 3 deep breaths and feel how your
body starts to relax. Clear your mind of the day's thoughts until you
think of only how relaxed you are. To clear you mind of thoughts takes
some getting used to, but with regular practice you will become good at
it in no time. Concentrate so that your mind does not wonder off. Just
keep focussing on relaxing your body. Another good way to clear your
mind is to listen to your breathing. Take normal, regular breaths,
relaxing more and more as you go.
Once you are fully
relaxed, start to visualize yourself with your set of six pack abs.
Think of yourself walking on the beach, showing off your flat stomach.
Visualize yourself doing a great lower ab workout session in front of a
mirror. See how good you are looking and feel how good it feels to be in
such great shape. Just use your imagination, and enjoy your
visualisation session.
This session can be
as short as 10 minutes, just enjoy yourself. By using this method, you
are making an impression on your subconscious mind, and then go to sleep
with your visualization experience fresh in your mind. You are actually
busy programming your subconscious mind to help you stay on course, and
not to give up with your training. The subconscious mind is very
important in our day to day actions. It controls your personality and
behaviour. If you make an impact on your subconscious, you can change
your behaviour.
Another way to
impress your subconscious mind is with the help of hypnosis. Using a CD
player or I-Pod with ear phones, you can listen to hypnosis MP3
recordings before you go to sleep. This method is easier than the
visualization sessions, because you do not need to concentrate to relax
and clear your head. By just listening to the recording, your body will
automatically start to relax. It is also easier to stay focused while
listening to a recording, so your mind will not wonder off that easy.
