The use of cardio training
with your lower ab workout routine.
The
majority of health & fitness experts will advise you
that cardio is vital in achieving your goal towards a
lean, muscular body. Nobody ever even questions this
belief. The experts advise you to do long continuous
exercises like walking, jogging, treadmill, exercise
bicycle, aerobics etc.
I do not
like these long, continuous exercises, because I become
bored with them and these types of exercises does not
target my abs directly. I do agree that cardio
exercises are very important, but I don't want to spend 30
to 40 minutes on a treadmill in the gym before I can
continue with my ab exercises. That is too boring for
me.
I
know people that are in great shape that don't do any of
the usual cardio training. I would much rather do less
traditional cardio exercises that works directly for my
lower ab muscles. This way I save a lot of time, and can
spend more on the exercises that I want to do.
For
me cardio training means to keep my heart and arteries
in good health. When your heart pump faster, and you are
gasping for air, you know that you are busy doing cardio
! So why use the traditional methods to get your heart
pumping?
When I do my normal lower ab exercises, I push myself to
the limit. I do my interval training with little rest in
between. That really gets me gasping for air and my
heart is pumping away at a high rate. In other words, I
get my cardio training from the lower ab exercises that
I do and not from the traditional methods. I see this
method as an effective way to save myself some time, and
just concentrate on the exercises that matters to me.
You
can take a look at one of my favourite exercise routines
at
lower ab exercises. Doing these exercises for abs
will give you a good cardio workout if you push yourself
and work hard with little rest in between the intervals.
So think
about it ! Next time you are at the gym, see if your
main exercise routine leaves you gasping for air and
gets your heart pumping. Really push yourself! You might
think twice about wasting time on the treadmill or
exercise bicycle again. |
